How You Can Do It
The main idea of an Army Ranger workout is that you will need to workout very hard for a long time. But if you’re new to exercise or haven’t had a change to do anything like this, you will want to be a little less aggressive in the beginning. You might want to start with coming up with a list of the various exercises that you would want to do – pushups, sit ups, chin ups, etc. With this list, you can create a fun and varied workout that allows you to move slowly up to more challenging workouts.
Start by doing a few stretches to get your body warmed up and ready to move – five minutes is fine. Begin your Army Ranger workout with a few sit ups (for example). Do as many as you can without stopping, then get up and run in place for a minute or so. After that, pick another exercise and rotate with jogging in place for as long as you can stand it. The point is to keep your body moving and challenged, while also getting your heart rate up.
Starting Slow
In the beginning, your Army Ranger workout doesn’t have to last longer than a half an hour, but you can build it up to a much longer time. You might even want to move outdoors and run on a path, stopping to do your exercises and then running onto another area. This workout is great because it can be changed constantly and for the exerciser that’s had troubles sticking with a program because they’ve gotten bored – this is certainly the answer for them (and maybe you too).
